About Kpana

My name is Kpana Kpoto and I’m an advocate who helps families of children with disabilities, get the support they need to function and thrive.

Through my work at an NYC-area non-profit and as a co-founder of my own non-profit, Bronx Parents Autism Support Circle, I work to provide the knowledge, guidance, and resources each family needs.
My work is important because families in underserved communities often don’t have the awareness of or access to the support services available to them. I’m here to be a voice and champion for them, so the severity of the impact on children without access to support can be alleviated.

Sailing Autistic Seas is an extension of my advocacy work that’s meant to be a place where families and caretakers can come to find information, resources, and community. The content here focuses on autism parenting, navigating grief after the loss of my mother to covid-19, and self-care. I’ll also share my family’s experience, as they are the reason why I do what I do!

Thank you for stopping by and joining us on the journey.

Sincerely,

Kpana
