Please e-mail me if you have suggestions of IPAD apps that have helped your child with autism and other special needs. Thank you.

Here are Angel’s TOP 5 IPAD autism apps:

Pre-K Letters and Numbers by Bright Start: Children can use this app to start learning the fundamentals of handwriting by tracing letters and numbers. This app is also great to help their language development. It assists in their development of fine motor skills, phonics, vocabulary building, blending letters, and counting. Angel started using this app recently and enjoys tracing letters. He is also very determined and will keep at it until he gets it right.

First Words: Deluxe: Helps children learn letters and spell words. Includes animals, vehicles, colors, shapes, and objects around the house. I suggest that you adjust the settings, so your child can build the words by placing the letters from left to right. It can be confusing otherwise.

Whizzit 123: Angel uses this app to count quantities of items, such as toys, flowers, and trains. It also includes lively animations and graphics and a balloon -popping mini game challenge.

Fun with Directions: This is a fun way for children to practice listening to directions, working their memory, and the auditory processing of language. Angel’s after-school speech therapist recommended this app and he loves it so far.

Tappy Tunes: Children can use this app to play their favorite tunes, such as BINGO just by tapping the screen. Angel loves music, so when he realized he could tap the screen and hear a melody he fell in love with this app.
